Geosynthetic Technology Limited has secured various contracts with reputable London Contractors, Maylim Limited and Toureen Mangan Limited, to a value exceeding £100,000 during the last 2-years.
Our project with Maylim Limited involves the provision of an effective barrier membrane between the new Handyside Park and the old rail tunnels into the Kings Cross terminal below. Phased working has been necessary to prevent excessive loadings being taken off the tunnels. Our Chemguard geomembrane liner was selected for use because of its incredible mechanical strength and chemical resistance properties. Ground contamination was a concern with the site being adjacent to the old Midlands Goods Shed.
Our separate work with Toureen Mangan Limited entails the prevention of rainwater ingress to existing structures and new buildings. A range of restaurants beneath the liner area complements the exciting open space now known as Granary Square.
Project Engineers, Peter Brett Associates, chose our Exceliner PP (Polypropylene) liner as the best geomembrane to provide a highly flexible and cost-efficient lining geomembrane that can be demonstrated to have a working life of more than 100-years.
